Where is Put-in-Bay Golf Carts?
Put-in-Bay Golf Carts is located at 399 Loraine Ave., Put-in-Bay, Ohio, 43456. Put-in-Bay Golf Carts is located in the heart of downtown Put-in-Bay near most of the island hotels, rental houses, bars, gift shops, and restaurants.
What is Put-in-Bay?
Put-in-Bay is an island community located on South Bass Island in Ohio’s Lake Erie Islands. It has been a vacation destination for 150 years and is known for its beautiful scenery, caves, Perry’s Monument, winery, great food, and nightlife
How big is Put-in-Bay?
Put-in-Bay is about 2.5 square miles, 3.5 miles long by 1.5 miles wide at its widest point. South Bass Island consists of Put-in-Bay Township and the Village of Put-in-Bay. It has 12-15 miles of paved roads including Ohio State Route 357.
Can I rent a golf cart on Put-in-Bay overnight?
Yes! Put-in-Bay Golf Carts rents golf carts for multiple days and nights. Overnight golf cart rentals are an additional $20.00 from closing time to 11:00am the following morning. A minimum of 2-hour rental is required to add “overnight”. The $20.00 Overnight Fee must be selected in “Features” in step 3 of your online reservation. You must select as many charges as the number of nights. If not, we will expect the cart back at normal return time (closing) at some point. Proof of accommodation on the island is required and a $200.00 credit card authorization or cash security deposit is taken.
How late can I rent a Put-in-Bay Golf Cart?
Our hours are posted here. All carts are due back by closing time unless a cart is rented out overnight (see above). Late Return fees apply after closing time.
How old do you have to be to rent from Put-in-Bay Golf Carts?
The renter and listed additional drivers are the only drivers allowed. All drivers must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid drivers license with the license on file. Children, underage drivers, unlicensed drivers, or unlisted drivers are prohibited from operating carts by our rental agreement and in most cases, state law.
Where am I allowed to go with my cart on Put-in-Bay?
You can go on all public paved roads except where prohibited by signage. For example, most paved roads are public BUT the South Bass Island State Park Campground does not allow golf carts without a campsite reservation. You are not allowed on gravel or dirt roads with a golf cart.
What traffic laws apply to my Put-in-Bay golf cart rental?
All applicable Ohio motor vehicle laws apply to golf carts. Put-in-Bay Golf Carts only rents street legal golf carts.
Is Put-in-Bay Paid Parking?
Yes, downtown has pay-to-park, BUT park for free at our lot any time during your rental. We are within 1,000 feet of the world famous Round House Bar, and the main street. We will watch your cart for you while you enjoy downtown then give it back (as long as you have not overindulged) for the rest of your visit. There are also “free parking” maps with the inside scoop on how to avoid parking tolls.
Can I drink on my golf cart? Is alcohol allowed on Put-in-Bay Golf Carts?
Is alcohol allowed on Put-in-Bay Golf Carts? Absolutely not. It is against state law. If you get a DUI, OVI, or open container charge OR written warning reported to us, we will repossess our golf cart. We have zero tolerance for that unsafe atmosphere. Designate a sober driver or call us and we’ll pick the cart up and make sure you safely get to your destination.
How Can I Pay For My Cart Rental?
We take all major credit cards and cash. We recommend paying ahead of time with your online reservation to speed up the pickup process. If paying with cash, a credit card is required to be on file and authorized for a $200.00 security deposit. There are no hidden costs. Taxes and credit card fees are included in your rental price. If the Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions are broken (late or damaged cart), then fees will be automatically assessed per your Rental Agreement. We want to be as transparent and forthcoming as possible and want you to have a great and safe experience.
Do golf carts ever sell out?
Yes. Most summer Saturdays and Holidays are peak demand, with over 10,000 visitors and only around 1700 golf carts to meet demand. Reserve your cart here as soon as you know your travel plans.
